My Gig Calendar

Terms of service

Last updated October 10, 2026

1. Using My Gig Calendar

These terms are an agreement between you and My Gig Calendar. By creating an account or using the site, you agree to them. If you do not agree, please do not use My Gig Calendar.

You must be at least 18 years old, or have a parent or guardian agree to these terms for you, to create an account.

2. Your account

Give us accurate details when you sign up, and keep them current. Your email address and phone number are how band leaders find you and how invitations reach you.

  • Each account is for one person. Do not share your login.
  • Keep your password private. You are responsible for what happens under your account.
  • Tell us right away if you think someone else has gotten into your account.

3. Gigs, invitations and pay

My Gig Calendar is a tool for organizing gigs. We are not a booking agency, an employer, or a party to any agreement between a band leader and the musicians they hire.

  • The band leader sets the date, the venue, the pay and the notes. The leader is responsible for getting them right.
  • Accepting an invitation is an agreement between you and the band leader. We cannot enforce it, and we are not responsible for cancellations, no-shows or disputes.
  • No money moves through My Gig Calendar. Marking a musician paid only records that the leader says they were paid. The leader still pays them directly.
  • Pay exports are a convenience for your own records. They are not tax, legal or accounting advice. Check them before you rely on them.

4. Your content

You own what you add to My Gig Calendar: gigs, notes, venue suggestions and your profile. You give us permission to store it, show it, and send it to the people you share it with, only so we can run the service.

Gigs you have not marked private appear on your public gig page and in your gig feed, where anyone can see them. Keep a gig private if you do not want it listed.

You are responsible for what you post. Do not add anything you do not have the right to share, such as another person's private information.

5. Emails and text messages

We send gig invitations, gig updates and account notices to the contact methods you opt in to on your profile. Account notices, such as password resets, are sent to your email address even if you opt out of gig emails.

If you opt in to text messages, you agree to receive texts from My Gig Calendar about gigs you are invited to or playing. How many you get depends on your gigs. Message and data rates may apply. Reply STOP to stop receiving texts, or HELP for help. Your carrier is not responsible for delayed or undelivered messages.

6. Acceptable use

When you use My Gig Calendar, do not:

  • add musicians or send invitations to people who have not agreed to hear from you
  • use it to send spam, harass anyone, or post anything unlawful
  • pretend to be someone else
  • try to get into accounts or data that are not yours
  • scrape the site, overload it, or interfere with how it runs

7. Closing your account

You can stop using My Gig Calendar any time. To close your account, email us and we will delete it. Gigs you played on as a side musician stay on the band leader's records.

We may suspend or close an account that breaks these terms or puts other users at risk. When we can, we will tell you why first and give you a chance to fix it.

8. The service as is

We work to keep My Gig Calendar running and your data safe, but we provide it as is and as available, without warranties of any kind. We cannot promise it will always be up, error free, or that every email or text will arrive. Always confirm important gig details with your band.

9. Limits on our liability

To the extent the law allows, My Gig Calendar is not liable for indirect or consequential losses, such as a missed gig, lost pay or lost data. Our total liability for any claim is limited to $50.

10. Changes to these terms

We may update these terms as My Gig Calendar grows. If a change matters, we will email you or post a notice in the app before it takes effect. Using the site after that means you accept the new terms.

11. Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of the State of California, without regard to its conflict of law rules.
